Additional Information

Professional Disclosure Statement

The Professional Disclosure Statement (PDS) is a document that outlines my philosophy and approach to counseling, my formal education and training, and information regarding my supervision as a Professional Counselor Associate. It also contains information regarding fees, client rights, and contact information for myself and the Oregon Board of Licensed Counselors and Therapists. Click here to read my PDS. Click the button below to download a copy of my PDS to sign before our first meeting.

Statement on Social Justice

I welcome clients of all genders, sexual orientations, spiritual beliefs, and cultural and ethnic identities. Although object relations theory, like other psychodynamic counseling theories, comes from a tradition that emphasizes the individual and their internal experience, no person develops in a vacuum. Our self-image and relationships develop within larger social, cultural, and economic systems, and our work together would be incomplete without considering their too-often overlooked role in the issues you hope to address. This includes a commitment on my part to understanding your cultural and social context, acknowledging and discussing the privileged identities I bring to the counseling room as a white, heterosexual male, and advocating outside the counseling room for justice and equity for the benefit of my clients, and all people.
